Share Media from a Windows PC with  NFS server For Windows - HaneWIN





 all IP are automatically assigned by my router( Freebox Revolution )

IP du PC = 192.168.0.25


NFS server For Windows - HaneWIN


NFS Server (The app is not free, however there is a 30 days trial period to test)

Download

Once installed, it will select NFS Server


Made OK to be careful



Then go to the Export tab, then click Edit Export Files and delete the example found in the Edit Exports

6 discs share = 6 lines



D:\FilmsHD\ -readonly -name:FilmsHD 192.168.0.37

Thanks Wool. Very helpful!  Just a point of clarification, unless you have UAC disabled (or your profile is set to admin privileges) you'll need to right-click and run Hanewin as Admin to make any changes to the exports file.  I believe for those folks streaming 3D they should set the Maximum NFS Transfer Size to 32768 on the first tab. You can also set an IP range for authorized clients instead of a single IP (D:\FilmsHD\ -readonly -name:FilmsHD 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.250) for instance. I don't use a static IP on my 1000X3D so it helps to open the entire range up.

How to share the local drive/folder? By Properties - Share --? I did it, but the MED1000 still not see the E: disk on my desktop.. (I stop the Firewall etc.. but still doe snot work..)

You edit the exports files by pressing the Edit Exports button.  It is not controlled by the Samba sharing controls embedded in widows GUI.

Thanks. I did this way and shared the whole.drive e:... but MED1000 still cannot see it over nfs.. I keep the windows firewall off.... restarted the router and pc. . No success.  I have Win 8.1 64 bit version

to b e honest the original guide tells you   more..such  as how to add services to  the firewall.

You cannot leave the readonly flag in place. 

That is not used in the original guide deliberately.
