Great job, but also don't get it to work properly.

First off...  THANK YOU!!!  Awesome Job!

Now, only if I get it to work properly.   Grin

I hope someone can help me.  I got to step # 8 on the guide.  However, I do not see any artworks in the Preview; I only see the default Black Mede8er screen.  But I do see all the Titles in the dropdown box.  Also, the index.html displays all the movie titles perfectly.  I'm not sure why it is not work.  I thought I have followed the guide to the t(s).

thank you in advance for any help!

The jukebox is generated ok, but when ik want to export to mede8er is won't show the artwork.
I also see the mede8er screen when i click on one of the titles.
When i export the following message is showed:

------
Starting to process jukebox in C:\YAMJ\Jukebox
Creating XSLT transformer
Reading skin properties - C:\YAMJ\skins\default\skin.properties
Read 102 properties
Settting XSLT parameters
Reading xml files - 81 files found
Complete!

You need to point it to the Jukebox folder where your media art and HTML files are being scraped to, not your YAMJ installation folder.

Please advise where your media art lies on your network - open your 'My_Library.XML' file with notepad and note the library path that you chose to save your Jukebox files.

Same problem here and yes I have Y2M pointed at the Jukebox folder created earlier in the guide that contains all my artwork and fanart. I am running Win 7 x64 and did have to use workaround to get my_yamc.cmd to run correctly. Also my Mede8er is connected to my computer via nas not usb. Thought this info might be helpful in finding a solution.

Also my Mede8er is connected to my computer via nas not usb.

My guess this has something to do with user rights and user starting the program YAMJ to mede8er not allowed to write on your NAS.

Thx for the help.  However, I have tried the process again with no luck.  I tried both methods via the USB and NAS but still now luck.  I even went into the registry and remove the yamj to mede8er references, between the methods.  I've confirmed that the paths were correct.

I've confirmed that the index.htm file, when laucnhed, displays the artworks very nicely.  When I click on the *.html files, I get the actual image of the movie and all the synosis and such... (just like the sample images).

I guess I'll wait until the release version comes out.

thank you for you help.

example settings of the USB method...

My_YAMJ.cmd:
....................................................................................
@Echo OFF
E:
CD \YAMJ
CALL moviejukebox My_Library.xml -o E:\YAMJ
pause
exit

....................................................................................

My_Library.xml:
     <path>E:\</path>
    <playerpath>file:///E:/</playerpath>

YAMJ to Mede8er - BETA:
     Jukebox folder:  E:\YAMJ\Jukebox
     YAMJ Skin Folder: E:\YAMJ\skins\default

I'm now getting the above error message I reported everytime I run YAMJ to MEDE8ER even when just using YAMJ on my movie folder.

However, I am thinking there might be a problem with the YAMJ info the program is trying to read rather than the program itself, so I plan to completely clear my YAMJ database and start again.

I seem to be having the same problem as a few on here.
When I run the convertor the only thing I can preview is the Mede8er logo.
Also, it doesn't seem to copy anything over at all when I click the button. Get a short report but seems too quick to have worked properly.
Hopeful of a solution soon, appreciate the hard work.

For those that are having problems previewing the images, can somebody please zip up the contents of their jukebox folder and either attach it to a post on here or put it somewhere I can download it from.

Also, are you all running against a jukebox folder that is stored inside your YAMJ folder?

If that is the case, can you possibly try regenerating the jukebox and storing it in a folder that isn't inside the YAMJ folder.

Also could you please post details of the operating system you are using - I know some people have already done so.

Thanks

Just bought myself 2 Mede8er's this weekend and have been trying things out a little bit.

Must say that YAMJ is great and works really well. Never played with it before and i must say that it works much better than Tvixie. Hope the Mede8er support for YAMJ will come soon so we can fully enjoy the great UI that YAMJ provides...

I have the same problems that the other peeps here have when using the YAMJ 2 Mede8er tool, that is i get a black screen with no preview.
I'm running Windows 7 - x64 - Ultimate and have my YAMJ database on another HD (D) than where i installed YAMJ (C).
When browsing the index.htm file i can see all images, but in the tool i only see the Mede8er logo no matter what title i select from the dropdown (the dropdown is beying populated wit the show's/movies i got)

I have tried it with only movies and tried with movies and tv series, but it's still not working for me...

Hope this helps a little and hope it can be fixed ;-)

I'm wondering if the problem is a 64 bit issue.

Have you tried running YAMJ To Mede8er as administrator? Also could somebody please try experimenting with the compatibility mode settings (right-click on the Yamj To Mede8er.exe file and go to compatibility mode).

Thanks

Hi butlerpeter,
I'm running win7 64 bit and I also get the same problem. This has only started with the 0.5 beta, the 25 Jan beta worked ok - hope this helps.
Cheers

I have a suspicion about what the problem might be.

With the next release, sometime later this week, I'll try something that I hope will fix it.

No promises though, I'm working blind on this one, as I don't have a 64 bit install to debug on.
