MED600X3D and HDD NAS behaviour
« on: April 20, 2013, 07:04:14 AM »
Hi everybody, I own a MED600X3D v1.0.5 and I'm using NFS protocol to transfer files in attached hdd.
I'd like to use the attached hdd as a NAS but I've seen that when I turn off my media player, the attached hdd is no longer reachable via NFS.

To let the hdd always available in my LAN, have I to keep my media player always on (blue light)?

When I use my remote controller to turn off MEDE8ER, is it possible to set the mediaplayer in a sort of deep standby that allow users inside my LAN transfer files in the attached hdd?

Thanks in advance!  :)

At the moment not possible, there is no sleep mode such as you describe. Only on/off.

I can say that with the new 2.0 version firmware that is still under development, somekind of 'discreetoff' in the net api will come avail - which could make this possible.
