Episode shows episodes AND image
« on: November 19, 2017, 07:14:14 AM »
I used TVrename to download images for my episodes. All seemed to work well.
When looking with my Mede8er, the episode folder view shows the episodes and the images as seperate tiles. Did I do something wrong?

Also, the series folder does not have an image, only xml files.

Which version are you using? 2.3b1 or 2.3b2 ?
2.3b1 has bugs downloading some images.

Turn on Autoview on the X3D.

@LarryM8 I am using the latest version taken from the TVRename download page, i.e. 2.3b1

The images are downloaded. But when selecting a season on the Mede8er, there are separate tiles for movie file and image file.

@Jer1956 when switching on AutoView I get a list of folders, seasons, and files instead of tiles. It still shows image and movie files.

It used to be that it would only show movie files, using the image file to display in the tile.

Any thoughts?

Hi Sweder,
there is a new version https://groups.google.com/d/msg/tvrename/AxTKFA6fpKQ/OFtSdoMeBAAJ
To change the display in the Mede8er go to the season directory, press the menu button and choose to display not "All Media" but "Movies".
And be sure TVRename is configured to not generate a series.jpg file.

Solution found. 2 things need to be done.

Step 1
It turns out that the view.xml file in the Season folder itself is not correct. It should have this content:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<FolderTag>
  <ViewMode>Photo</ViewMode>
  <ViewType>Video</ViewType>
</FolderTag>

Step 2
In the Season folder, remove folder.jpg and series.jpg
