No cyrillic support using NFS shares
« on: February 20, 2013, 09:29:30 AM »
Having just purchased 600X3D, I can't seem to solve one minor glitch.
I have few russian movies named in Cyrillic and it shows fine when using SMB shares.
However when mounting NFS share, cyrillic is not supported and shows in invalid characters.

All player settings are changed for Russian/Cyrillic support.
NFS share is on Windows Home Server 2008 machine (with Microsoft Services for UNIX installed, NFS set in ANSI encoding)

I have no such problems with Netgear NTV550 and Asus Oplay HDP-1 players within the same network.

Tried both 1,05 and 2.0 firmwares.

Any ideas?

I am running NFS shares on Mac (native support) and all shared root and sub folders in Cyrillic shown correctly in MED1000X3D fw. 1.05 and 2.0.
I guess UTF-8 encoding is better.
