I do not claim to have created anything new here, just did a few edits.  With that said, I prefer the movie details screen (about.jpg) with a large poster like this (and the fanart faded into the background behind the text)...

I started with the 2.6.1 release of YAMJ, then added the 2.0.0 version of Y2M (just the "YAMJ_To_Mede8er_2.0.0_4Feb2012" directory which I renamed to Y2Mlib, not the whole zip file), the CLI version of MediaInfo, and finally the "ĈON Movie Wall YAMJ v2.11" skin.  I have a zip file with everything ready to use, but it is too large to attach to this post.

If you already have a working Y2M, then download the Aeon skin file named "skin_v2_11_r2569_june_29_2011.rar" (see the credits section below) and unzip it to the "skins" folder under your YAMJ directory.  This should create a new directory named "amw28062011".  Since the Mede8er does not support trailers, I suggest you edit the skins/amw28062011/skin-options.xsl file and change...

from:  <xsl:variable name="WatchBar">true</xsl:variable>
to: <xsl:variable name="WatchBar">false</xsl:variable>

The change above will also free up more space for the movie plot description.

Run Y2M and change the YAMJ settings to use the "amw28062011" skin.

If you use NFO files to specify custom posters (I do this frequently), you should also add this line to the moviejukebox.properties (or moviejukebox-Mede8er.properties) file in the root directory where YAMJ is located...

filename.nfo.skipUrl=false

I really prefer this skin to anything else I have seen.  I hope someone else out there enjoys it with their Mede8er too.

Hi Unreal,
I like  Grin the larger poster too.
Now I'm torn between using Y2M and ThumbGen.
Nice...Txs

Hi Unreal,
Thank you very much for advertising this Aeon Large Poster Skin. Indeed it seems to be a more practical skin because it allows more space for useful information about the movie, in particular the plot. I've been a little bit frustrated with the standard Y2M skin because it almost always truncates the plot text on the about .jpg.
The Aeon poster has more space for the plot text, but it doesn't use it because it downloads only a very short version of the plot from the database. Do you know how you can use this skin and obtain a long version of the plot text, and display it in full?
Many thanks in advance for your advice!

If using IMDB plots, you could start by making sure...

imdb.plot=long

...is set in the Aeon "skin.properties" file (skins\amw28062011 directory).  It should not be necessary to change the "PlotLength" (skin-options.xsl) but you should ensure that "WatchBar" is set to "false" as that will automatically increase the plot length.

And you should clear the jukebox folder before running Y2M/YAMJ again.

Hope that helps.
