I am running Windows XP
I received notification for the release of Y2M V1BETA6 from the forum. I installed it together with the latest Java package as advised in the installation procedure.

The installation went fine and YAMJ finds all of the movie files on my Mede8er MED500X [I left all settings for the Mede8er on default - ALL checkboxes on the YAMJ panel are checked, including those next to the movies.

I have checked the Jukebox subdirectory of the YAMJ folder on my desktop and all Cover Art images etc are there. Also, when I click on the movie name on the YAMJ Panel, the Cover Art appears perfectly.

However, when I proceed to download them to the Mede8er by clicking on "Run YAMJ to Mede8er", a progress bar momentarily appears [for about 1 sec or so] then displays "Complete" but nothing has transfeed to the Mede8er folders [to test the application, I have only scanned 3 movies].

1) I have installed the Y2M app on the root of the "C" Drive
2) The YAMJ folder is on the PC Desktop
3) My Mede8er connected via the network.

I'm new to this forum so hope I have posted this in the right place and also that I have given enough info for a clear picture of the problem.

I hope someone out there is able to help!

Thanks.

Have you a reliable Network connection with the MED? That is, does it appear in Windows Explorer and can you  copy files to it.?

My MED's network connection seems fine. I can copy files to it across the network as well as rip DVD's from my local drive directly to the Mede8er without any problems.

It also appears on Windows Explorer.

I have 3 x Mede8er's on the network. All of them are visible on Windows Explorer and I can access each from the other. The problem of not being able to automatically populate the movie files with the cover art, applies to ALL 3 of them. This leads me to think that it may have something to do with the PC itself or some setting in YAMJ?

I'm not an expert on PC's or Networks which doesnt help I guess, but hoping that someone has experienced the same thing and found a fix!!

It's related to WinXP.
There were several users with the same issue: all works ok, but .jpg files are not generated.

Solution:
- Be sure you have WinXP SP3 installed
- Be sure to have your XP version updated with latest WinXP updates
- Be sure to have installed latest version of .NET

I had the same problem (Win XP x64, SP1). I only updated .net framework from Windows update and now it's working Smiley

Thanks for you support everyone.

I tried the latest Windows updates, .net etc but still did not come right.

I then connected a Windows 7 based PC to the network and it is working 100%!! - really great and works very well.

At least that rules out any network / Mede8er issues so guess it's time to do a fresh XP install on my long-serving and now sofware-infested original box.

You were spot on with it being an XP issue Maasbommel and it seems Antila was on the right track too. - Thanks guys, much appreciated!

I had exactly the same problem. Been trying to fix it for days. So I went to Microsoft Update and updated .net framework. Problem solved.

Using Windows 7.
