Hi all Mede8ers

I am proud to announce the Beta release of the new Y2M. I personally want to thank Peter Butler for his absolutely amazing work on the new Y2M. This is a world class application and it will really help take Mede8er to the next level. Now all Mede8er users will be able to make high quality cover art in one easy to use application. Also a big thanks to MarioB for the great skin.

Note

There are two version ie win32 and win64 so pls download the one that suits your operating system. Pls remember to install the latest version of Java  http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp if you don’t already have this on your PC. The Jukebox location window is the Jukebox that is going to be made so just make an empty folder on your PC or Mede8er and call it what you like and point to it. The rest is very straight forward and all you need to do is you set the path to YAMJ and set the path to folder of your Movie directory that you want to scan. Pls use the included YAMJ package as you will probably have some issues with older versions.

For those of you that have not used Yamj To Mede8er or YAMJ before we suggest you do some Googling or check the threads on this forum regarding the best naming protocol for your movies. In my experience Y2M will work very well if your movies are named with the name and the year for example "The.Day.After.Tomorrow.2004.mkv"

I have been using TViXiE for the image creation but development is slow and one of the sited I'd like to scrape from is no longer supported. Hence I want to know what sites are supported in Y2B for scraping?

Just to say a quick thanks, finally got this working on X64 windows  Grin after many hours of frustration with the previous release this one worked straight away.

Really like the fact that the settings are in one place now, much easier to use  Smiley

Only issue I had was an error being thrown and mede8er wanting to debug, this only happened when the  Sabish skin was selected, this is the error from event viewer:

Log Name:      Application

I ended up deleting  the YAMJ folder and creating a new instance from the RAR and starting again, it then let me reset all the settings (including the skin)

The difference?
You can now just control Yamj settings from YamJ to Mede8er application and start Yamj from that.
Much more user friendly.

Just give it a try....

One thing I noticed with Beta3 is an overall performance increase compared to Beta2. Beta2 was taking forever toscan and scrape, but Beta3 seems to have overcome this. I really love this application, it just gets better and better! Thanks to PB Smiley

A lot, just change the mjb.internet.plugin param in the YamJ to Mede8er  param field as described here:
http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/wiki/Plugins

Or as alternative:
Look for the moviejukebox-Mede8er.properties file in the root of the package and add the line:
mjb.internet.plugin=com.moviejukebox.plugin.MovieMeterPlugin  (this is for Dutch scraping)

(replace the com.moviejukebox.plugin.MovieMeterPlugin by a plugin you want to use).
After that, restart YAMJ_To_Mede8er.exe

Oh this looks great!  Smiley
Since this is Java-based, I'm half way running it on Mac OS X (10.6.4 - with Java 1.6.0_20, 64bit).

However, how do I point mediaInfo to /usr/local/bin/mediainfo in the properties?

The YamJ to Mede8er exe will not run on a Mac.
But maybe this will help you:
