You can try by connecting by usb and use partition magic to remove all partitions from it.

regarding the connection refused message, it could that you have some pc firewall or your router blocking port 21 that is used for telnet connections.

Hello,

I managed to do trough telnet with some help from my neighbor. Still it did not work trough my USB, IT seemed to be the cable. Its up and running now.  Smiley with an other USB cable. I will start my new year happy.... Happy new year to you to... and thanks for the advice.
