Hi
Iam getting more and more used to this machine...

When I try to tickle tracks, nothing happens..I am in Network mood and I am trying to playlist tracks which are outside the internal HDD

You hit the nail on the head with that one - you cannot use the built-in playlist feature with files on a network source.

You can however create playlists manually using Notepad or Playlist Creator.

Product & firmware version: Mede8er MED500X f/w v2.1
Audio: RCA output > Sinotec LCD full HD
Audio setting: RCA / Night mode OFF
Video: HDMI
Network:  Nas Mode: on
HDD: 1 TB Seagate.
PC: Win 7 64 bit

I  can't get the playlist on my hard drive, I can see the titles of the song but get the error message "File does not exist"
I use Playlist Creator exactly as you describe, and wi fi music streaming from my PC  works well. I can put other files like movies on my hard drive without any problems. Please help.

You need to use relative paths in your playlists.

 - provide full path to a few of the song files plus the path to your M3U, e.g.
           HDD/Music/Artist/Album/song title.mp3
           HDD/Playlists/playlist1.m3u

 - paste an extract of your M3U file for those music files

I'm sure we can find the error in your paths if you provide this detail.

The settings in Playlist creator is for "relative" This is the path :

#EXTINF:205, -  - end of the line
C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Travelling Wilburies-end of the line.mp3

Hi rx4age,

That is not a 'relative' path which you have provided - that is an 'absolute' path.
(This M3U Wikipedia link will show examples)

Where is the M3U file saved in relation to the mp3?
I will be able to provide a relative path for you if I have that full path of the M3U file.

Once you include that path you cannot move either the MP3 or the M3U as the paths will then no longer be valid, hence the error being reported: "File does not exist" (...on the path specified).

Is it possible to play whole maps at once? I have sorted my music by [map]artist - [map]album - tracks. But is it possible to play all the albums of one artist? That i choose the artist map and that it will play all the tracks in the maps of that artist?

Tnx
