Good day,
I have med 500x connected  to dac with support for 24 bit/ 96 kHz files. With old firmare(ver. 3) it passed files(music - flac) intact, but now with the latest firmware it  downgrades to 48 kHz.. I tried coaxial and optical connection with same result - downgrade. Any help is appreciated.

This problem was identified when 4.0.4 was inroduced....and is still there. The SDK used introduced cea-edid....that is hdmi devices would send what audio is supported via the edid. Unfortuanatly without a cea-edid supprting hd audio...all audio is output at a lower standard...even via spdif.

Thanks for quick reply.
So, there is probably no chance of fixing this in the future, especially now when new med is out. I would downgrade my firmware to ver. 3, but that will introduce other problems I used to have with flac support, and I really like this new ui. Anyhow, I'm getting old and my hearing is not so good as it was  Smiley
