Hi

Iīve had my MED500X for just over a year now and itīs been the most amazing peace of hardware if had! I love it!!!
But i had a problem a few days ago when i turned it on all my settings had been wiped out. It just started up like it was my first startup after i bought it. My video-wall had gone and all my network settings. So i set it up again and it looked ok. I restarted it and it wiped everything out again. All the data was on the HDD. Itīs like it was resetting the settings everytime i turned it off and on again. And after few tries it stopped on the Mede8er startup screen. I tried updating the firmware with a USB stick but it always stopped on the startup screen. After many tries i got it to boot and update the firmware again and it worked fine for a day or two when it started to show a green line on the lower part of the screen. it did go away when i changed the video output but when i restarted it the line came back. It didnīt matter if i was using PAL or 1080i or P. I tried another HDMI cable and another HDMI plug on my TV but it was always the same. I plugged my PS3 into the same plug with the same cable and that worked fine! now the failure seems to be intermittent and not always there when i plug it in.

Has anyone had a problem like this?

Hi Dadimar10

My may have a corrupted Bootloader. I suggest you re install the Bootloader

Pls check instruction on this page
http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,3165.0.html
and start at Point 2.
Once this update is fully completed you can then install V4.0.4 http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,4793.0.html
