Mede8er is looking for new X2 player BetaTesters in the closed Beta Group to assure we have a good broad and diverse test before firmware is released.
If you are interested to help testing on beta firmware, please take the following into account:
1] you should have an X2 type media player (500X2, 400X2, 450X2)
2] you will actively need to report back your test reports when a new beta is released, in English language.
3] you will not release any information regarding the testing into the open, only in the closed beta section of this forum
4] you will not share beta firmware to others and will only use the firmware yourself for testing
If you are still interested after reading above and want to apply to become a Mede8er X2 beta tester, please sent me a Personal Message (PM) with:
- a short motivation why you want to become an X2 Beta tester
- a description of your setup in the following format as described below
Mede8er model: MED500X2
Internal hard disk: Yes / No
Internal hard disk make/model/size/type: Example WD5000AACS 500Gb 3.5" SATA
Is your Mede8er networked: Yes / No
Type of network: CAT5 / Wireless / Home Plugs / Other (please describe)
Networked devices (incl. make/model of router + OS of computers): Example: PC Windows 7 64bit streaming to Mede8er, Synology NAS via SMB etc.
Display device type: Example: CRT TV/LCD TV/Plasma TV/Projector/etc.
Display device make and model: Example: Samsung PS42B430P2WXXU 42", LG 42LH2000 42"
Audio connection type: Example: via HDMI to TV, RC cables to TV, via HDMI to AV receiver
Audio output device: Example: TV audio only, Logitech Z-5500, Onkyo SR606 AVR, etc.
Additional relevant equipment: Examples: scaler, DirecTV etc.
Advise:Prepare your motivation and config setup first in notepad and then paste it in the PM window to easy PM me and keep the request by PM a bit readable and formatted.
A PM request does not mean automatically that you are given access to the closed Beta group.
We will select new members on:- given motivation to become an X2 Beta Tester
- setup of equipment (we need a diverse group to test broad)
- observed level of activity within the 1185 boards and general participation levels on the Mede8er forum
