Hi everybody,
Ever since I updated the firmware of my 400X (V 4.0.4, NO HD AUDIO as I have analogic audio), all the videos, whatever format they're in, are out of sync. I've tried playing the same media that had worked fine before, and it is also out of sync (video is more than a second late on audio).
My 400X is linked to the Synology Nas where the medias are through ethernet and a router. I already tried rebooting everything about a dozen times, to no avail. i've also already tried turning 24fps on and off, and changing Video setting from 1080p to 1080i, to no avail.
I'm losing my mind over this as I have tried almost everything.
Please HELP!
Here's the system info:
Software: V 4.0.4 Bootloader 0000.0202.1026

Tell something more about your setup:
What TV (brand and type) are you using? What amp if you use one. How are things connected. What video and audio settings do you usin in mede8er setup.
What happens if you play media from local usb disk?

Using the USB doesn't change the problem
I use a video projector EPSON TW-3200 I use a Tangent Amp100 I use Audio SPDIF 2 channel downix (my amp doesn't process DTS) My video setting is 1080p 50 Hz (I tested all the other settings and the problem is the same) My 400X is linked to my amp by an analogic RCA cable and to my Videoprojector Using the HDMI plug.
Thanks again for your help!

It might be some hdmi EDID issue - the med getting wrong info from your beamer. Version 4 uses HDMI EDID to detect, version 3 used another method as far as we have seen.
You might try the following as I see that your beamer also has a component input. Have you tried those for video input? Do you get the same?

You are right! Only the 500X has..... You might consider then to downgrade to 3.0.5 and retry. Or even to the version you had before to see if that solves your issue and confirms the edid thing.

Ok, so going back to V4 Beta 6 seemed to solve the problem... Did that HDMI detect change happen between V4 Beta 6 and V4?

So, after a few tries, it seems that now, with the V4 BETA 6, the audio sync issue comes back whenever a movie is launched from the Video Wall.... :-(. From times to times, it also happens through the file navigator... I am completely at loss here...

CEA-EDID was added to the later SDK's. This creates all kinds of issues if you don't have something generating the cea-edid. Most modern TV's do, but I don't know about your projector. CEA-edid is an extension to EDID and contains audio information, including sync information. So later firmware has sync problems, audio codec problems etc, if all the cea-edid feilds are blank becuase nothing has filled them. It isn't just limited to HDMI audio, even thouigh HDMI is the only way to get the CEA-edid.
Can you borrow a HDMI amp? Put that between the X2 and the projector and tell the amp to output it's cea-edid.

The whole idea was to use my tangent Amp which delivers a beautiful sound.... So no, no HDMI amp.

But how come it works when I launch the videos from the media library in Version 4BETA 6, but still have the problem when I launch them from the Video Wall?
