Just updated to V1.2 and worked like a charm Changes are good and one shortage it wil be nice in the file managment side that it provides you with information on how much Hard drive space is availlable on the internal and exsternal drives as it is a worry as you dont know how much space is availlable on drives..
There is a serious lag time on MP3 files especialy when you have a lot in a directory and can become a bit frustrating when you wana start and stop playing MP3's
Best Regards
Joel

Lag time takes 3 -4 for seconds when you wana start or stop play an MP3 i have tried it hundered times but it seems the problem does not go away. the same is not in the Movie folders but seem to thing it is a problem only in Mp3 and when entering the directory Mede8er in you GIU is using and indexing and when there is a lot of files it slows it down to a serious stand still.

Check your Hard Drive free space as follows: System Setup > System > System Info - look at the bottom for free space.
As far as the 'lag' is concerned, I am sure you can see reason that listing such a large number of files is going to take a performance hit for a tiny ARM processor - remember this is a media player and not a multi-core, 4-gig of ram PC. Even a modern PC will struggle with this.
IMHO the fact that these files happen to be MP3s has nothing to do with the issue, I think one needs to be realistic. Consider introducing a filing system for your music, per artist would be the easiest, then by album. I have listed some music applications in the software forum that you may want to consider.

Yeah dude, I couldn't replicate this simply because I don't have that many mp3s in one directory. I sort mine by artist and album.

Hi Joel, Did you format the HDD within the Mede8er? One should realise more functionality if the HDD is formatted from the SETUP rather than format the drive using a PC - this may be one of those features. Please provide your HDD make and model for investigation - the more details the better.

By 'yourselves', are you referring to the Mede8er shop?

I seem to think it would have been pre-installed by Nashua then, as the Mede8ers are not shipped with HDDs - these are installed by the re-sellers.
