Can you explain what you mean with this sentence?
Another Media Player, Mede8er or other brand?

And you never put NAS option on in Mede8er menu? Seems that you understood the question different.

Hello HD ,
today the same problems again ,no audio trough HDMI, and now  I let the mede8er play and while playing I changed the HDMI cable with  a new one  ,first in front  HDMI  from the Panasonic plasma screen and voila sound, then the new cable in the old HDMI port also sound, then I put the old HDMI cable to the Panasonic, no sound. So all the sound problems came from  the  old HDMI cable.
I also have a quicker initialisation when I choose the HDMI port on the Panasonic with the new cable.  Cheesy

So HD, you can always try this  because I had the same problems as you, first always sound, with firmwarew 304, then firmware to Version 4, after a while  no audio trough HDMI ,back to 304 ,no audio trough HDMI, new cable n0 plroblems!
Analog always sound! So buy a new cable HDMI 1.3.
Kindly regards Richard!

Ok, I understand that you mean that you don't have a HDD installed in the Mede8er and therefore not using the NAS option to connect over the network. Or you use the mede8er only as a standalone device and not configured in a network.

Regarding your problems returning your defect Mede8er: What was the original reseller where you bought it?
Was it http://www.mede8er.eu/ website or another reseller?

So you probably bought from a reseller that advertised on amazon.co.uk?
Normally you should contact your reseller then for RMA process. Did you try that?

And did you try to give a phonecall to http://www.mede8er.eu/ on the number that is on the site, in stead of emailing only?
