Hi,
Been using mede8er since Sept '09.
Never had any problems untill installed v3 software (now using 3.0.4).
I now find that a lot of video files i used to play fine are causing the mede8er to crash and reboot.
I never worried about any file...but now I have to think twice before palying wmv, flv, mpg, mpeg and even certain .avi's
I have reverted to v2.0.2 a few times just to play certain files...adn i think this may have messed up stuff permanantly becuase now i find certain files not playing on v2.0.2 that i remember playing fine before.

Is there a way to "format" the system (not hdd) to factory default?

Sorry for begin vague but I never once had a file not play before moving to v3...now I really cringe when playing anything not .avi, in case the system reboots

I suggest to first reinstall version 3.0.4 using the procedure that comes with it, so using recovery mode to install and unplug power before and after installation.

If that does not help, you might want to try this procedure:
