HI

Using filemanager to copy files from the USB stick to Internal HD,  the jpg files on the USB is not shown.

How do I see the jpg's on the USB stick to be able to copy them?

Thanks

What firmware release are you using?

Just checked with usb stick with .jpg file on it.
It just shows on filemanager. (using firmware version 3.0.4)

Just another thing I am thinking of:

What is the file extension of your jpg files?
Do they end on .jpg?

Hi Maasbommel,

I have done a checked and it is the about.jpg and folder.jpg files I have created using the YAMJ to Mede8er software.   The other jpg's are showing fine.

I have created the film art on my laptop and wanted to copy it to the Mede8er  using my USB but now not showing it is a bit diffucult. Smiley

Hi hsmnel,

I just verified and you are right!

On version 3.0.4:
When using filemanager it is not showing folder.jpg and about.jpg files.
It does not matter when it is on a usb device or on internal mede8er HDD, just not shown when on filemanager.
So no way to copy about.jpg and folder.jpg files using filemanager.

This is a bug...

I will post it in the Bug section to raise attention for it.

Let's be generous. Most people didn't want to see these files when they opened a folder, so some kind of "ignore" routine has been added. Most peole would send these file over the net and not notice this bug.

Yes,...

But I think those specific files should be only hidden when using the media library view and not when using the File Manager menu.

Under File Manager it should be possible to copy all files to another media without the need of connecting to the network and using a file manager like Windows Explorer to reach these files.
There are people around that use the Mede8er as a stand alone device.
