I know that this is a little "off topic" for this forum, but want to share this really practical feature.
As far as I know it works on both Windows Vista and Windows 7, but maybe also on Windows XP.

For easy access to Windows control options one need only create a new folder and then rename the folder to the following:

   System Management.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Once that is done, the folder's icon will change to resemble a control panel and will contain dozens of control options.

Easy when you want to find the Windows option to enable the Guest account, check your configured network workgroup, enable file sharing, etc, without going through all the different windows control panel icons. Now all just in one overview available.

Of course; Use this at your own risk.
See Google for more about this feature.

Not for XP as I understand it. And some people on 64 bit Vista report problems with Internet explorer after applying the "hack". Besides that it seems very useful for advanced users.

It´s always fun with these kind of hidden features. I wonder what kind of hidden features there is in the mede8er  Cool

Kind regards

As far as I now this is not really a hack, but just a hidden feature to enable a service engineer to easy access all the existing control options in windows in one "sort of" favourite list. Just a mapping of existing links there already are in the windows registry.

Cannot believe enabling this feature can give Internet Explorer problems, but of course if you toggle one of the features there are then it can if you don't know what you are doing.

And let's see what "hidden" features in the mede8er the future will bring....  Grin
