Mede8er 800x3 Won't start at all!
« on: August 11, 2018, 10:55:42 am »
Hi,

I do have a mede8er 800x3 and it worked fine for a while but at the moment it won't start at all!

When it is turned off, the red light is shining. pressing the button on the player or the button on the remote; the red light disappears. But the blue light won't shine. The built in HDD and fan is also totally "dead".

I've tried to connect the player to the pc. But the built in HDD won't show up on the screen ( which is logical because it won't spin after turning the player on!

Does anybody a good advice?

It would make my day very good!

Already Thanks!!

Greetings

You may try another compatible power supply with V = Voriginal, I >= Ioriginal.

Hi,

Tried it. But the screen still was black and HDD and fan didn't spin!

I also tried to put new firmware on it, but nothing happened! Even the blue led won't go on!

Thanks anyway! It was worth trying!

If you have any other advice, that would be nice!

Thanks

Hi Toon !
Same issue for me here with a Mede8er800x3D.
Did you find a way to fix it ?

Thanks

Hi,

No, after all tricks to repair the player; nothing succeeded!

I contacted mede8er for a repair of the problem i had. The answer was: It is better to buy a new one (600 series). That would be cheaper then repairing the old 800!

So, after all i decided, to buy a second hand 800. I have to say that i was lucky! I bought a mede8er 800x3D with a builtin 4 Tb harddrive for 100. It is already running and the result is perfect!

I don't know; where you from but in the netherlands. There is a site called marktplaats.nl. There is often a 800 to buy for a nice price!

I wish you all the luck with your 800!

Greetings
