Hi guys.. Im new to this forum. Recently I tried to upgrade my unit to the new firmware. I have followed the manual on how to upgrade. The problem is that I can't find the SYSTEM REINSTALL in the system update menu. Is there any way on how to upgrade my Mede8ter to the new firmware? Thanks a lot!

Please read the release notes that came with the firmware, howto is described there.

Just use emergency recovery mode, so:
- unplug power
- place your usb key with the firmware in the root of the drive
- plug in power
- hold power button for 10 secs and update will start

Thanks..
Unfortunately, after upgrading the new firmware, my Mede8er does not  seem to work. After playing 1 movie, if I switch off the unit, the next day I cannot switch on the unit. It just shows BLANK screen after initial start up (which the MEDE8ER logo shows for a few seconds)

Hi George,

Strange....

Can you tell something more about your setup?
- are you using an internal HDD?
- if yes, is it formatted from the Mede8er setup menu?
- and by new firmware: do you mean 2.0.2 or other, please mention the number

Have you tried to redownload the firmware and reinstall with the method as I have advised.
