X3 ButtonSkin_by_Mik3R

NOTE: This Skinpack will only work on an X3 player, not on previous generation X or X2 players.
Also FIRST update your Mede8er to V3.0.2 or higher otherwise this Skinpack will not function properly.

How to change a skin:
To load a skin -- just download it and unzip /unrar it to a folder. In X3 navigate to this folder and press the ‘Menu’ button and select ‘Set to Skin Option’ The new Skin will be loaded into flash memory and used as the new default. You can revert back to the original default skin at any time by selecting the option ‘Restore Default Skin’

IMPORTANT - Setup ---> MISC ----> Home Page Text  Set to 'Off'

GREAT skin!  Love it.   I added the highlight boxes from the active/focus skins so the box for the selected icon has red around it but otherwise a near perfect skin.....

Hi Mik3R! Thanks for your skin. It has been my favorite to date however, today I attempted to personalize it a bit because I did not really like the scratched grey background. I tried to keep most of it as standard but have made a few subtle changes. The problem is it made my 600X3D unable to boot.

Thanks to others here I have reinstalled the firmware and the unit is once again working but if possible, I would really like to use my version of your skin. Mafalda suggested that the problem lies with IMAGE_COMMON_LOGO.png as it requires an alpha channel and must be 32 bit. I have no idea how to make it 32 bit because my graphics program (Zoner 14) only offers 24 or 48 bit options.

Would you be able to check it out for me please?

Must be the problem. What I usually do is open the image in Photoshop and give it 99% transparency and save it as png transparent.

The problem was solved by a couple of the guys here. I have been running the modified version ever since and I really like the work you did! If you wish to try my version, you will find it on the server (see X3_ButtonSkin3_by_Cinoche).

Almost perfect, but the strange font is also in the srt subs! Can I change that?

If you can use a graphics program you can change all the text used for whatever you want. As far as my version is concerned, if you don't have the skills required I can do it for you provided you give me the Dutch text that should replace the originals.

This skin was originally designed to work with firmware v3.0.6. My guess is that it probably won't work with v4.0.2 due to the addition of trailers. Can anyone confirm that please as it is basically the only reason I have not upgraded my firmware to v4.0.3?
