Several options are available to the Mede8er user while playing a movie, should you wish to jump to a known point:

1. REWIND & FAST FORWARD
The most obvious is to use the REWIND (<<) & FAST FORWARD (>>) buttons on the remote. Speeds of 1.5X, 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X & 32X are available. Note that the Navigation Buttons also perform RW and FF functions during movie play, except while playing DVDs (IFO or ISO files) as these keys are then required to perform other menu navigation functions.

2. REPLAY & SKIP
If you wish to skip through intros or ad-breaks then the Skip function is available which allows one to jump forward 30 seconds per press. If you went too far the the REPLAY button on the remote jumps back 10 seconds per press.

3. GOTO
The GOTO button on the remote brings up the GOTO navigation menu on the top of the screen - pressing the UP and DOWN buttons on the remote will change the minute value by one at a time. Pressing ENTER on the remote jumps the movie to the minute value but leaves the GOTO menu on-screen, awaiting further input (in the event that you are not yet at the right place). The LEFT and RIGHT navigation buttons will change between the following adjustment options: TIME, CHAPTER (embedded within DVDs and MKVs) and TITLE (other movies within selected folder). These fields will also accept numeric input.
If you are happy with the movie position then press either GOTO again or the RETURN button to exit.

4. TIME JUMP
The quickest way to go a known position in a movie is the number input method. Pressing any number button on the remote once readies the Mede8er for number input - type in the minute value for the jump and you'll jump straight to that position in the movie.

5. SLOW MOTION
Pressing the SLOW (|>) button on the remote slows down movie play to 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 speeds.

6. A-B REPEAT
Should you wish to repeat a particular scene over and over again, the A-B function will replay that selected scene. Simply press the A-B button once to mark the start of the scene you wish to repeat (A) and again to mark the end (B) - that selected scene will repeat until stopped with a third press of the A-B button.

If I can add... There's also 2 interresting buttons on the remote. The 2 arrowed buttons on the bottom left ("INS REPLAY" / "CMS SKIP") seem to do a 30 seconds forward or backward in the movie.
