Hi Kitty,

If you want to copy something to an attached disk or stick from your mede8er hdd, you need to use filemanager.
You can find it here: http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php?topic=199.0

Or just read through my mede8er beginners guide completely (in the tips section or use link in my footer).
Then you also will find it.

one more question,
can I keep MEDE8ER connected to TV (via HDMI) during connection with PC ? (it is easier to me to bring my laptop to mede8er than to bring mede8er to my PC ....)

Yes, you can.
It will show some message on the screen and then will show the Mede8er logo when it is in USB mode.

So not able to play on TV while in USB connection mode.

OS is Windows 7.

@paulwump:

Ik heb exact hetzelfde probleem met mijn prive-laptop. Er is al een hele set aan probeersels uitgevoerd:
http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,3321.15.html

Sad
I tried hooking up to my PC.
But after a couple of minutes it says it can write to it any more.
Seems the connection failes.
It only happens with large files i.e. an Iso file of 4GB.
Is it something inside the Box that needs to be set?
 Huh

Same Problem here.

Internal HDD: SEAGATE BARRACUDA LP ST32000542AS 2TB SATA2

Tried Reflashing of 3.0.4 and flashed 4.0 Beta3 At last I checked an old 400GB SATA Drive which has no problems.
Is ist possible that Mede8er does hav problems with drives supporting the new 4k Sectors?

I plan to buy an Samsung F3 203WI 2TB(512k Sectorrs) to verify this issue

Mede8er MED500X DD+
V4Beta 4 (Previous 3.0.2 then 3.0.4 then reflashed 3.0.4) I always set it to Defaults and formated the drive again
Bootloader 23L
HDD was formated (many times) within the Mede8er

I also tried connections on 3 different PC, one Lenovo T60 with XP SP3, One Lenovo T510 Win 7 x64 and my old Pentium 4 with Win 7 x32

Hello
I can’t connect MED500X with PC. In the user manual is written: „As soon as the USB cable from the Mede8er is connected to your PC the front Blue LED on the Mede8er will switch off and then on again.  The Mede8er will now
connect. The computer will automatically install the correct drivers.“
Everything happens as it is written LED switch off and then on again, but that is all,  nothing more happens. Huh

Is your internal disk formatted already from mede8er setup menu?

I have had the same problem. Half way true copying it just stops, I can still browse the disk but al the folders appear empty. When I disconnect, the logo stays on screen and the med is frosen. This happes when I do multiple things over the usb cable. For example copy files and run Y2M or thumbgen at the same time. Now I do one thing at the time and use Terracopy to copy my files. That solved the problem for me.

Also in my case the LED remaise blue when I connect the med to my PC. It switches off when I connect the usb cable and immediately turns blue again and then remains blue. So it never blinks red/blue.
