[TIP] How to make network based Playlists to stream music to your Mede8er

The med8er is has a built in UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) client that allows it to communicate with a UPnP server on your PC. In order to use UPnP functionality you must run a UPnP server on your PC and we suggest you search the internet for the server that offers you the features you require. We have tested Tversity Pro and it works as specified. All you need to do is download a free program called Playlist Creator 3 to make your playlists and save the .m3u playlists files to "My Music" folder. On the Mede8er browse to the UPnP icon and select it and s list of compatible servers will be displayed. Click on the server you want to use eg Tversity and navigate to the Playist folder.

Here's a tip on creating simple text files using notepad and using them as playlists:


1.  An example using media stored on your Hard Drive:

Here is a very simple playlist example that I made for pictures:

Create a text file called e.g. pictures.m3u (any name with a .m3u extension)

store them anywhere on HDD...
Just be sure to keep music separate from photos and both separate from movies - don't mix media types or you may get some odd results.
