Here's a tip on creating simple text files using notepad and using them as playlists:
1. An example using media stored on your Hard Drive:Here is a very simple playlist example that I made for pictures:
Create a text file called e.g.
pictures.m3u (any name with a .m3u extension)
HDD\Pictures\wallpaper_1080p_01_fhdr.jpg
HDD\Pictures\Rock_Band_1080p_Wallpaper_by_jbarnes85.jpg
HDD\Pictures\porsche_panamera_s_1920x1080.jpg
HDD\Pictures\My_HS_1080p_ps3_wallpaper_by_bryanrisktaker.jpg
HDD\Pictures\infinity_hdtv_1080p-HD.jpg
HDD\Pictures\game-wallpapers-1080p.jpg
Created one called music.m3u for some music files:
HDD\Music\01 Dude (Looks Like a Lady).mp3
HDD\Music\02 Love in an Elevator.mp3
HDD\Music\03 Aerosmith - Cryin'.mp3
HDD\Music\04 Hole in My Soul.mp3
HDD\Music\05 Aerosmith - Amazing.mp3
HDD\Music\06 Walk This Way.mp3
store them anywhere on HDD...
Just be sure to keep music separate from photos and both separate from movies - don't mix media types or you may get some odd results.
2. An example of a network-based playlistTo make these work off a network you don't give the full path:
\Aerosmith\01 Dude (Looks Like a Lady).mp3
\Alicia Keys\The Diary Of Alicia Keys\01 Harlem's Nocturne.mp3
\Guns & Roses\Appetite For Destruction (1987)\01 Anything Goes.mp3
