If you are reading this topic its because you have bought, or going to buy one of the mede8er players available in the market

First and foremost the tutorial only tends to show the basics of the mede8er players, theres more settings and features available to use apart from what is written here....enjoy

Organize your library

the x3d players allow to make a jukebox, a wall of organized movies to quick select and watch the movie from the remote or IOS device with appropiate app.

The x3d makes scan of the movies inside your hard drive, but for that it need to follow one simple rule :

Every movie needs to be in is own individual file, see the example :

1- root folder
2- movies folder  (2D, 3d, dvd, concerts)
3- individual movie folder
4- movie file

See the remote, make sure you are familiar with it, the Menu KEY  in particular

When you bough the X3D , probably it has the lastest firmware, if not follow the instructions below :

go to  mede8erforum

1- product page

2-  firmware download  page

3-  firmware version

4-- link to download firmware

To install the firmware the hdmi cable or video output NEED to be connect to tv or av amplifier

5- power
6-  ethernet connection

8- pen usb with ONLY the firmware INSIDE that we previous download

9-to make a clean install of the firmware,  only keep the pen  inserted in X3D NOTHING ELSE, press power button until the mede8er logo show on tv, remove the finger and let the instalation run without turning off the player.

10- when it reach 100% it automaticly reboot

We finish the basics settings the X3D is ready to play movies
In case you want to make the jukebox follow the next steps

25- go to media library

26- if you use internal/external hard drives, move to step 29

27-  network (samba ) in case you want to streaming movies from pc or NAS
28- NFS  in case you want to use this  protocol to streaming from pc or NAS

 NETWORK (Samba) EXAMPLE

27-go to  workgroup

27-B this folder is called synlogy is shared by a server  or NAS  in my network, you can do the same with pc, the windows shares folder must be visible in same network, with read and write permissions turned ON.

27-C Put username and password and  choose save to shortcuts, and next time you can access to MY shortcuts folder

If everyting went  accordingly you should able to see your shares folders (pc or NAS) in your X3D menu

29- heres few shares files in network (THIS ARE ROOT FOLDERS ) , in case you using internal or external hard drive you are seeing the same.

30- access files and press menu key , now you can add to favorites or scan jukebox

31- heres another example

Now that you already add movies to favorites lets move on:

32-  go to favorites

33- press MENU key, and  you can scan jukebox  here or like we did in step 30 and 31 (IT WORKS BOTH WAYS)

Manual configuration of jukebox scan ( in case movie cover is wrong )

34- go to  media library

35- go to folder and choose movie individually to change press MENU KEY and press EDIT

36- To change or add new cover manually go to scrape

37 - you will have  selection of one or more movies to choose, pick  the correct one

38- all this settings can be changed, make sure you press SAVE before leave the file

My gut feeling says you're scanning the wrong folder.

Step 32 says: "32- go to favorites". It should be read as: "32- go to favorites and highlight your movies folder". Then go to step 33.
