WOW !!

This is the main reason that I switch from PlayOn to Mede8er, I assume that the Mede8er's firmware will be getting smarter and more update than the PlayOn.

I hope that the Movie Scraper will be a lot more easier than using the YAMJ since I could not get it work on my PC. After trying to resolve a sequence of error several time, several days, I finally give up in using the YAMJ. Thanks.

That all depends on if you  don't mind using Public Beta's or not.  We often have new features which  many enjoy using earlier because they help  debug them  via Public Beta's. There are others that  won't accept a feature as "available" until it's in actual  "release firmware".

Great news. Cannot wait to try it
Two questions though

Will it import all the movie Information as created with YAMJ?
And will the naming convention for the files be equal?

It won't re-scrape any folder which already has XML in it. Because we need to deal  with "bad" scrapes it will be possible to edit/scrape new movies one by one as you  add them.

It won't take that long to  auto scrape the whole thing again anyway..from Europe we are getting 2-3 seconds a movie. It does depend on how good a link your area has to  the US.

Ehh.. to the US?!?

Won't it also link to moviemeter.nl for Dutch info, dependent on the country/language you choose?
Will it support TV series?

I imagine this will be dog slow for doing something like adding a new 3TB drive full of movies, but will be fairly efficient if that 3TB has already been scrapped by Y2M and we are just adding a few more titles to the disk.  If so it will do exactly what I need most, which is an easy way for my wife and other family members to add to the movies jukebox.   Will the auto scrapping read NFO files so it can tell the difference between the <SORTTITLE> (currently the filename), and the movie <TITLE>.   e.g.

A filename of:

007 (1997) - Tomorrow Never Dies.mkv

for proper sorting

v.s.

Tomorrow Never Dies

as the actual movie title in the NFO file.

or

Shark Boy and Lava Girl (2005).avi

v.s.

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Girl

What I would really like to a see a solution to the displaying Extras/Bonuses/Trailers problem.   Even something simple like an like being able to suppress scraping and adding to the jukebox specific folders, and then having the child folders appear on the movie page.  Once navigated to, it could display something like the TV Wall for the extras.

So for example in my case, 10,000 BC, I have a extras folder that is a child of 10,000 BC.   Somewhere on the page for 10,000 BC I would see the name of the folder "extras", I could click on that and then actually navigate and play the 10,000 BC extras.

The internal scraper is not adding new features.  It produces a standard mede8er jukebox that the current code understands.

I think, you are on a good way.
But it will be essential to add own database links like IMDB for different languages.
This should be a simple thing, I think.
