my mede8er starts when I switch on my living room lights, only at night though. ....Smiley seriously, I'm not making this up
IR/light frequency of these low energy lamps must be almost the same as the IR band of the remote Smiley

yeah it is funny, it does it every night. I finished watching i switch everything off, go to bed. Then just before I sleep I come down and switch on the light to get some water, and the mede8er starts....lol. I now have to unplug it before I go to bed. It only happens at night, maybe my unit has a mede8er ghost in the machine Smiley

All I can say is, .....now can the popcorn hour do that....no it cant Smiley

I love my mede8er, its part of the family now.....its even integrated with the house lights....

I've found that I have to switch mine off twice.  First time you turn it off, it comes on again about 5 - 10 seconds later.  When you switch it off again, it stays off.

There is an issue that has been picked up whereby the mede8er will sometimes restart after switching it off while a movie is previewing or playing.
This appears to be an issue embedded within the Realtek SDK as other Realtek-based media players seem to have similar reports of this occurrence.
This is on the bug list and is currently being attended to.
