Emergency Procedure
Download the latest Mede8er Firmware from www.mede8erforum.com. UnZIP or UnRAR or join with HJ Split and will find one file named install.img. Copy this file to the root directory of a Flash Drive. Plug the flash drive into the Mede8er. Unplug the power to the X3D. Plug the power jack back in and hold the ON/OFF button on the Mede8er (not the remote) down for 15sec and then release. After the firmware has been checked (+-5-10sec) it will start to update. You will see the update progress on your TV.  Do not remove power during the Firmware Update procedure .

The Beta is work in progress and has some know bugs that will be fixed during the testing process. A thread will be opening listing these bugs and any news bugs that are found.

Anyone having internal disk performance issues has a choice to make.  They can go back  to 1.0.5, or they can go to Media Library and on the Devices Page press 'F1' to do an NFTSCheck on the drive.

If you can't see the drive to  do  this check,  then can  you try using USB slave mode and see what partitions it finds. You might need to unhide the other partitions, reversing this tip:-
http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,7926.msg50073.html#msg50073

This shows if the drive is being detected...and there is some kind of NTFS partition problem.

You could then try this tip to fix the NTFS:-

This firmware only has a 23.976 clock.   It wasn't meant to replace the 24hz clock. So it's a bug that there is no support for 24hz in this beta.  If 24hz media is stuttering every 42 seconds then it's because of that.

To minimize the risk of losing the 23.976 clock trying to get 24hz back..fixing it will probably be deferred to  2.0.1.

Win8 users should read this:-http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,10517.0.html

If you have had this problem please reply to  that post  if you are also using Win8 (or not...if thats' the case), and what make/model/size of drive had it.

Bump:-

Divx ID codes are not recognised in this  firmware.  Divx are not accepting that Realtek can claim Divx support without a licenced chip.  A general H263 codec dosn't count.

Since both Divx and Xvid are processed by the same H263 codec, changing the ID code to Xvid will get them to play.

So if a file that played before is deemed unsupported, it probably contains Divx ID's.
