Hi

ThumbGen is not a moviejukebox.

It is a simple app to collect and build images. What the user does with the images... no limits... Smiley

You shoud had Yadis in tv scrappers.
http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1182&t=29935331
To my opinion it is the best.

Easy to use, synopsis.jpg(= about.jpg) really more beautifull than with YAMJ or Tivixie (not difficult, that's true), images and text are fully editable manually if desire....Just must have.

V2.0 is about to be out.

Found this piece of software the other day which I have found very useful as I literally have
thousands of TV episodes plus almost a thousand films on my 3 drives.
Making  and naming individual folders was getting to be a chore,
it,s called New Folder Wizard (it,s freeware) it is especially useful if you have
a lot of TV episodes and films you want to put in seperate folders.

The Download Link is:- www.NewFolderWizard.com
There are probably other progs that do this, it,s just that I,ve not seen any recommended
on the Mede8er Forums.

Also some users may be interested in editing the plot etc. on your Yamj output files.
This can be done easily with Notepad++ available from (again free)
I.E the plot may be missing or cut off a little bit after scraping. Or you prefer
to word the plot yourself.
Just open the appropriate film,s xml file in your saved jukebox folder with Notepad++,
go down the left hand side of the opened document until you reach the <plot> line and edit
as required. Then save as.
I have been using Peter Butlers YAMJ_32_v2_1_Y2M_BETA3 and after editing with Notepad++
I have been able to click on the edited file prior to pressing the Run YAMJ to Mede8er
button which allows you to get a fresh view of your edited file to ensure it is as you
wish. Other information can be altered as required in the xml file.

Notepad++ is available here:- http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

Unfortunately the newfolderwizard.com file seems to have dissappeared
so I found a new folder utility called Files 2 Folders which for me is actually
far better.

Files 2 Folder adds a right-click shell extension, Files 2 Folder, to your windows explorer, that will when selected, automatically create a folder based on the selected file’s name and move that single file into that auto created folder.

When you click on the downloaded file, it will register a shell extension. You can if you wish, later on, also unregister this shell extension to ‘uninstall’ the app.

You can also right click selected multiple files for multiple file renaming, really useful for TV series

Available from  http://skwire.dcmembers.com/wb/pages/software/files-2-folder.php

Would be nice to have my native MacOSX App listed here too. Its called iScrape which obviously scrapes posters and (next update imminent) fanart to your movie folders. It uses tmdb api which imho serves best quality. Check out the thread and my blog www.kreundundqwertz.wordpress.com

Hi Insomniac,

I have written a small java program which make my life easier. I called it NFO Creator, and what it does it that you select your movie/series path and it search the directory. Once you have done this you are able search for the link on imdb or thetvdb and copy the link and paste it. When you are happy you create the nfo files. I use this app in conjunction with the YAMJ to mede8er app Peter wrote.

I hope that someone else can put it to good use.

Here is the link:

Hi Insomniac,

Here is the link to the lastest NFO Creator. I have removed the old one.

https://www.rapidshare.com/files/3062336985/NFO_Creator.zip

Please feel free to make any suggestions on the above mentioned application.
